NEWS | BIOSEC respond to the EU Action Plan Against Wildlife Trafficking

The BIOSEC team have used insights from their research to provide feedback on the 2016 EU Action Plan Against Wildlife Trafficking.

The European Commission recently opened a round of public feedback to aid the evaluation of the 2016 EU Action Plan Against Wildlife Trafficking. The Action Plan functions as a guiding policy in the EU’s response to the illegal wildlife trade (IWT), setting out three priorities (prevention, enforcement, global partnerships) and 32 action points that are designed to coordinate steps taken by EU institutions and Member States.

The BIOSEC team were glad to use insights from our research to provide feedback on the Action Plan and are looking forward to engaging in the next phase of the public consultation process.
